This is one of the lesser glamour sides of Taipei. As upscale as some of the places in Taipei can be it is however still degraded by its lack of free space. It is very crowded all the time. The people are just a notch less hectic than those of Tokyo, but many of them aren't half way as polite or courteous.

Truck of Pigs

Hey did that pig just smile?

Can you count the number of pigs?

I wonder where is their final destination?

On the freeway back to Taipei I was able to take some snapshots of this truck transporting pigs. The white lace you see in the reflection is the seat cover inside the car.

I had a chance to go eat at this interesting artsy looking resturant one weekend with my relatives. I would have never knew that such a place exsisted if it weren't recommended by my cousin. The place is simply amazing, it has about 3 to 4 levels and it is huge. We had to go before noon to be able to get a reservation. The resturant is usually packed, it is located in the city of Taichung, Taiwan.

Welcome to Odaiba a marvelous city with the infamous Rainbow Bridge. It is said that there are many couples that would come to Odaiba at night to watch the night view of the Rainbow Bridge. It is thought to be very romantic and many scenes of the Japanese dramas have the Rainbow Bridge in the background. One can imagine having the first kiss at this magical place.

We went to 2 different types of temples in Japan. They are of different gods, so the rules are a little different. At the first temple there are a series of shops that leads to the temple. People can get rather religious when they are at the temple. They pray for their own peace of mind and other things like the safety and well being of their family. Many also would pray that they might soon find that significant other for marriage. The second temple is a memorial of an emperor. You need to cleanse your hands before entering the temple itself. You may also drink this water, as many people do so to cleanse their body of sins. I didn't have as many pictures as I would like for this temple.

This is the second set of photos we took during our trip. First photo is a beverage ad posed by Takuya Kimura, voted the most handsome man in Japan. He starred in many major Japanese dramas and made himself very popular. There are also photos of various buildings in Yokohama Japan. We also visited the city of the 21st century, a city build on what use to be an enromous landfill.

This is my first trip to Japan, although I didn't bring my own camera (sold mine at the time). I still managed to get some pictures, good thing I wasn't the only one without a camera. The trip was for 5 days and 4 nights, we stayed mostly around the areas of Tokyo.
